Just wanted to say that you made a great new website ! Very beautiful. Of course, it's a beta version, so I experienced some troubles, but it's a great surprise ! thanx from all your fans all over the world !
Just a teeny tiny question : what's the news with the broken piano thing ?

Message: Just trying some new techniques. Too much touring to complete "Broken Piano", but I hope to get to it in the end part of the year. Thanks for all your interest,
Nieve

At this point, factoring in all the water under the bridge, I'd guess he gets paid enough to keep him living at a level to which he's become accustomed. Plus (as he said in response to a question I left on his message board) he still gets a kick out of where Elvis takes him every night on stage. You can't put a dollar amount on that.

I would think he is well paid if that's your criterion.Extreme Honey wrote:300 000 + CAN per year. (Excluding taxes)verbal gymnastics wrote:How do you define "being paid well"?
I should think most musicians are self-employed or are composite companies in the UK (ie, simplistically, you pay yourself the minimum wage and receive dividends) although Steve may be self-employed in France.

Nieve has posted a video blog. No idea what the hell is up with it, but here's a link http://web.mac.com/stevenieve/iWeb/Site ... /Blog.html The dude's a brilliant musician, but, um....well a wee-bit odd.
The video of the procession at the Buddhist temple has audio that's eerily similar to one of Nieve's melodica solos - ya know, screechy, off-key Jean Stapleton-esque?
