On a particular day in October, a friend and I drove around, listening to "Armed Forces" in my car, in honor of a mutual friend who was leaving that day for basic training.
Last week, when my sister was driving myself and a friend of ours home from a new years party, we were all comparing juicy tidbits of gossip. I rather insensitively remarked "I love all this boulevard of broken dreams shit," which inspired me to put "Brilliant Mistake" on the cd player right then.
I know you can all think of others.

Not an Elvis song, but I bought a car last month and the first time I'm cruising along and think to switch on the radio, Bruce Springsteen's Fire was on. Later, I remembered that the opening lines to the song are, "I'm driving in my car, I turn on the radio...". I didn't hear them then, but they must have played around the time I thought to turn it on.
