iTunes question

This is for all non-EC or peripheral-EC topics. We all know how much we love talking about 'The Man' but sometimes we have other interests.

I dig iTunes. Great playlist functions.

Not to stir anything up, but why on Earth would you want eight million playlists? I keep as few as possible; in fact, the only ones I can think of off the top of my head are called 3 minutes, black and blue, and sleepytime. Make of that what you will.

Well I mainly use iTunes as a holdding space for download stuff that ain't yet been burnt to CD, and I just find it far easier that way. Also, if you're writing discs, you can only see the length through a playlist, right? You can't just by highlighting in library. For me it's all clearer that way.

But playlists are Evil! They can fool you into thinking you have favourite songs that you may have to play in a specific order. (Unless we're talking on-the-fly of course.)

As a firm supporter of the chaos theory I believe that now that we MUST use iTunes, every track should be called Untitled (by Anonymous) and that the random function should be mandatory.

Furthermore, a library is a compilation. :|

Well, if you're going to burn everything to CD it makes sense. I guess.

I think Itunes may be good for playlists but the other things just bring it down ( + some missing functions that Musicmatch Jukebox Plus offers). Overall, I think that Windows Media Player is the best. And just because it's easy dosn't mean that It's the best. Easiness is the least of things.

What the hell can that possibly mean? The player doesn't determine sound quality, nor does it determine what music you put on it... what else can matter besides ease of use? What "other things"? Does Musicmatch Jukebox Plus do a better job of mixing the voices in your head or something?

Now why would I have that if I have an iPod and a Mac? No. I ditched the whole platform; it's a malware magnet.
