"My Dark Life" is collaboration between Elvis Costello and Brian Eno for a tribute album inspired by The X-Files. Costello and Eno's piece encompasses the feeling of a film narrative and accompanying score within the boundaries of a strictly audio experience. Here's the latest from Recliner Notes:

It was an interesting and very experimental time for Elvis.

Hugely enjoyable analysis of one of Elvis' finest songs.

I'm a fan of both EC and Eno as well as a huge X Files fan. I really enjoyed this piece you wrote for this hidden gem of a track. They also captured the feel of the show perfectly in the song.

Thanks for saying that! To be honest, I never watched the show. Still not sure why I never did. Anyway, I can't comment on how the song reflects the themes of the show, but Elvis seems to agree with you on that aspect.
