Don't know - haven't checked yet, still at work. But I recorded it from Channel 13 HD, so we'll see. Either way, I'll put it on Dime and YouTube.

I enjoyed most of the performances last night. A most professional unit behind him, though not my favorite incarnation. Best perfomance- Dr Watson- his vocal was near perfect and conveyed convincingly the special ache of recognition in that song. Perhaps my favorite moment was the shots of EC just singing with an acoustic guitar and unamplified in one of the great hallways of the library, just letting the natural acoustics take over as he warbled Josephine. Something I have always imagined doing, not that song perhaps, but just introducing some sound into such an edifice. Only real negative for me was the sheer amount of commentary through the program. Would have liked more music.

Mini bump for yet another astounding performance by EC:
Stations Of The Cross - Artists Den

Sings pretty much the entire song with his eyes closed. Compare this with the Fallon version with The Roots:
Stations Of The Cross - Roots

It goes from an intense accoustic ballad to a blues/rock funkfest. This remains my favorite song on NR, even though the studio version is my least favorite by far.

That didn't take long to release. The other shows haven't even aired yet, including Ray LaMontagne, whose show is being broadcast this Friday.

I'll have to take BIOC off the video torrent of this fantastic show.

When I uploaded the 2006 VH1 Atlantic City show with Billie Joe Armstrong et al, I had to remove the "I Want You" segment with Fiona Apple because the song was released as an iTunes single. Doesn't matter if the medium is different, it's the same performance. I'll check with the Dime mods, but I'm pretty sure that's the deal.

Once a song is commercially released, sharing is frowned upon, regardless of how it was obtained.

That being said, there's this interesting website called Demonoid which does not care about such things and will be useful in this case. The HD show will be there tonight if I have time. The mp3's can go on MediaFire (except BIOC, which can go on Demonoid too). Stay tuned.

And also, it might be nice to buy the song from iTunes so that the people who paid to have the show recorded and filmed see a bit of extra return. It's only a buck, although I would recommend you spend $2 and also buy Buddy Miller's performance from the same album.
