David Levine R.I.P.

This is for all non-EC or peripheral-EC topics. We all know how much we love talking about 'The Man' but sometimes we have other interests.

David Levine R.I.P.

Post by Jack of All Parades »

I note the passing of Mr. Levine. I have long enjoyed his drawings as they have appeared over the years in periodicals, most notably The New York Review of Books. They always made me think and pause for a moment. Several are so iconic like the drawing of LBJ lifting and pointing to his gall bladder scar in the shape of North and South Vietnam or the many right-on depictions of Nixon with his five o'clock shadow so malignantly growing on his cheeks and chin. He was my favorite caricaturist and illustrator- a worthy heir to Cruickshank, Daumier and Nast.
