Does anyone know anything about this? Is this a re-release of some sort?

I'm always a bit perplexed when an "mp3 release" like this is touted as a big deal or an "exclusive"-- like when the official Costello site had banner ads proclaiming that "Taking Liberties" and "Out Of Our Idiot" were finally available as digital downloads. It's not like ANY of these records are hard-to-find or expensive in CD format.

If they really wanted to release an "mp3 exclusive", why didn't they add on the super-rare "Bridge I Burned" promo EP tracks that have never been available on any reissue? The "Facino Mix" and the "Pop Lie Remix," the latter of which has entirely different lyrics-- I'd bet only a small percentage of EC fans have heard these, and I'd bet most of those fans got them through some sort of unofficial release or torrent...

According to MusicTAP, Extreme Honey, Spike, and Mighty Like A Rose are all being reissued September 22, so the Amazon download may only be an "exclusive" until then.

Amazon has Extreme Honey, Spike and Mighty Like A Rose for pre-order. The original albums are reissued - no bonustracks.
