Unfortunately the leather box version with the pattern of the suit worn on the cover of Ziggy in the phonebox was slightly out of price limits at £300, and Amazon US has it at nearly $1,000, (though I did hold and drool over a copy once at an excellent Mick Rock exhibition in Soho). This is a great book, endless photos, and lots of great recollections from the man himself.
Unfortunately I had to work my arse off all day chasing a deadline I couldn't meet and had to put back till Monday lunchtime.
The evening was spent toasting me and lots of 11 year old kids at our last ever primary school barbecue at the school my oldest two lads have attended over the past 10 years. Blimey! Quite appropriate as a way to measure the frantic passing of time.
The main debate of the day was what constitutes early/mid/late for any decade. I started out on the basis that hitting 43, as I have, means 'mid 40s', and 48 = late, but we agreed that actually it's 44. So here's to the early 40s!
Drinks are on me...
There's more to life than books, you know, but not much more

sez you. 45. That's the middle. Anyone with a rudimentary understanding of mathematics (like me) can tell you that. The main debate of the day was what constitutes early/mid/late for any decade. But glad it was a good day for you!
Like me, the "g" is silent.
