Happy Birthday Oily Slick

This is for all non-EC or peripheral-EC topics. We all know how much we love talking about 'The Man' but sometimes we have other interests.

It's his birthday again. Everyone say something mushy and embarrassing.

O is for his oily way of speaking

... :?

there once was a poster named oily

... :x

Oily slick, you old … coot
Here’s a little birthday loot
See you at the Harley place
If you’re brave enough to face
Me and Jim, McMurtry too
And the whole blount county zoo

Bring your glasses, drive with care
No veggie food will you find there
It’s my presence that is the gift
And some spirits we will lift.
A happy time down at The Shed
enjoy it 'cos you'll soon be dead*.

Happy Birthday to my favorite St. Louisian.

*figuratively speaking, of course.

not another one, I have no inspiration for comic verse just now and I couldn't be as good as ^ anyway. Hope you have a good one and Pujols doesn't.

Ah, the dwindling array of old timers. thanks! and Gilli, how is it you happened to get to skip this significant one last november after getting EC b-day congrats annually for decades? extraordinary poetry Moody. a new standard. but maybe we should just tell em we're going to a biker bar saturday to see a left-winger sing. it could explain if there is a near-term further diminishment of old-timers.
