So is that why I can see them and you guys can't?
Actually, the first time I scroll through the photo board I just see the X too. But when I go back and go through the page again, then I see the pics.
What should I do? Spooky? Anybody?

Just bumbed cuz I thought I did it right. Feh.

What I did was uploaded my pics to my MSN webpage and then transferred the image from there to here.
As far as I know, I don't have a .NET password.
Anyway...why would I give out a password? Like I trust you people?

Okay, you have a photo at a website. With the cursor in the text box, click the image button. Type in the entire web address, ala

http://www.geocities.com/aropeleash/aropeleash1.jpg

..and then hit the image button again. The image will be taken from the website, and posted. Click preview to see it if works, and if it does, click submit.

...and feel good about yourself.

I'll find out about this NET passport thing.

Believe me, this is all going to be so anticlimactic because I have got to be THE most unphotogenic person I know. Actually I think it runs in my mother's side of the fam. My kids all photograph incredibly well.
And Elvis, well, you've seen that mug before.

Let me see what I can come up with.

Damb, Bamb, good guess. It's someone not very famous, and no one will get it. He was just pretty cool in his day, and I'll bet you've seen his work, you just don't know it.

I'm not much good at this stuff, but this is why I think it's a 'PassPort' problem:

I copied one of the URLs from the HTML (i.e. in Internet Explorer: View > Source) and pasted it into the address field. I got a .NET popup message asking for Passport details, which is presumably what is happening behind the scenes on the Board.

Now I don't know for certain, but I would have thought that pages behind such a Passport are not intended for publication (i.e. they're private).

However, there may be some facility within MSN to 'publish to the web'?

And I don't know what that means Rope, but anyway you may've heard of Syd Mead.
He did design work for movies like Blade Runner, Tron
and Aliens, and for various other things. Here are samples of some of his

Hey, that Mead guy is pretty cool. His WTC vision is off the scale. That's what more cities need, though, a big, overwhelming monument structure. Los Angeles needs one bad.

I don't know why I posted Virgils picture, I guess I was showing off. It no doubt belongs elsewhere. It's one way of finding out about people like Syd Mead, though, eh what?

Virgil designed automobiles. He's known for a famous American "look" of the late Fifties. Here's something he designed in the early Fifites:

He went on in later life to design all sorts of transportation, much of which never was constructed.

Okay. I'm back in town again and I just got this pic from SLL - this is his daughter, Holly. Seems as though he wanted to give her another chance to make an appearance on the board since she looked a bit grumpy in an earlier posted picture.

Was Loewy the guy who designed the Avanti? Or the guy who did Carmen Ghia and some of the Porsches??? That name rang a distant dented bell....

Yes, Raymond Loewy did a lot of work for Studebaker, and he probably did the Avanti. He also designed what is now often called the "Loewy Coupe", the 1953 Studebaker. Virgil Exner worked at the Lowey firm at the time, and is rumoured to deserve the credit. This is a poor example, but I know you remember these:

Loewy's firm designed all kinds of things, from toasters to refridgerators.
