Back in the Ranks of the Employed...

This is for all non-EC or peripheral-EC topics. We all know how much we love talking about 'The Man' but sometimes we have other interests.

Back in the Ranks of the Employed...

Post by Tim(e) »

Just thought I would share my relief at getting a new job, commencing on Monday 29th May. I will be writing the documentation for a small but reasonably successful Australian software engineering company and best of all, I will be on a higher base salary than at my previous job as well as receiving a generous quarterly bonus into the deal.

Job

Well done - am sure you will enjoy it.

I managed to retire 4 years ago at 50, but am now 'looking for something' just for a change ...

How nice for you.

Congrats, Tim(e)! I'm sure that's a huge relief, to say nothing of welcome news on the increase!

Well done Tim(e). It is quite hard looking for a new job when you have been employed for a while.

Thanks all!!

Being 54, I have to admit that the retrenchment from my previous employer did put a rather big dent in my confidence. However, finding a new (and hopefully better) job with relative ease in a fairly narrow and specialised area, has more than compensated.
