Hmmmm, too much though required...hehhehheh ....I'll make it easy and just say (and, yeah, yeah, yeah, it's more than 10 songs)
Greetings From Asbury Park, the Wild The Innocent and The E Street Shuffle, and Born To Run....these 3 albums epitomized my teenage summers spent at the NJ shore (Surf City, specifically...) during the mid '70's Ahhh, the memories.....working mid-night shift in a sweaty bakery, laying on the beach all day with a cutie who smelled of coconut tanning oil, running from the beach patrol cops at night into the salty air darkness, the scent of a big fat spliff wafting across the dunes.....Ahhhh, .... the memories

It always amazes me that Tunnel of Love doesn't get more respect. Ok, its over-produced in places and a little patchy, but there are some really great songs on there. One Step Up, Valentines' Day, Walk Like a Man, Brilliant Disguise, All that Heaven Will Allow and Two Faces. Fantastic Stuff. Ok, so they haven't got the excitement of Bruce chasing girls in a Thunderbird, but they are beautifully crafted and say more to me about life than say, Racing In the Streets (which I love anyway).

List would change from day to day but for now:
Backstreets
Fade Away
Rockaway The Days
Rosalita
One Step Up
State Trooper
Sherry Darling
It's Hard To Be A Saint In The City
Prove It All Night
Loose Ends
"Tunnel of Love" is one I return to a lot. Elvis obviously likes it, and I think it parallels "King of America" in certain ways. Mature, graceful, rootsy songwriting after the big Eighties production. If only Springsteen weren't so fond of synths.....

You could say so. I think I went through a mega-Springsteen phase around 2000. I don't really have much of his stuff on CD, except for his last few records, but I have most of his stuff on vinyl, and I've seen him in concert twice with the E-Street Band.King Hoarse wrote:Same here. Are you big on Bruce, Blue?
