None. I'd rather pee in my pants than miss a second of the show!

Okay, evidently EC is doing shows straight through with no breaks or pre-planned encores!!! Great. . . but when do we all take a nature break????!!! Pick the song that will send you to the restrooms. All deep thoughts are welcome!

Whoops! Somehow posted this twice. Webmaster, please feel free to delete the other thread. This is the real one with the added essential 5th option!

Go before the show and hold it in if you have to go again!
This morning you've got time for a hot, home-cooked breakfast! Delicious and piping hot in only 3 microwave minutes.

I always try and drink very modestly before any important show, but the lager and tequila were flowing in Hammersmith, so I held out as far as The Monkey, which I'd never heard before, decided it was boring and made a run for it. It was also short, and was horrified as a new song started up, but relieved when I heard it was Pump It Up, a song I've already hear live too many times.

A long time ago, my husband and then boyfriend went to see a bunch of bands including EC and the A's at an all day thing at RFK stadium, the name of which escapes me now. Of course, being an all day event, a potty break was inevitable. Not knowing the order of the bands, not to mention the crap with the ladies room line always being 3 times as long as the guys.....I get in line.
Here's how this story ends.
I'm in a stall taking a pee and the walls are thumping and the place is going nuts BECAUSE EC IS OUT THERE PLAYING PUMP IT UP!!

Needless to say, aside from giving birth, I don't leave during performances if I can help it.
I'm not angry anymore....

I think maybe now, I might not be as pissed if it turned out that I missed Pump It Up for the same reason Otis states above. But back in the day, it was a major crush missing that one. (I believe that may have been the first time I had ever heard PIU live too.)
I'll never forget it.....I'll just never forget it.

I remember contemplating going in You Belong To Me on the last Imposters tour but I managed to control my bladder.

I prefer no potty break. I don't want to miss a thing.

Elvis hasn't seen me since the Hi-Tone last April. I wouldn't want him to think I wasn't glad to see him by getting up during his show. :)

Pump It Up is the only EC song I am completely burned out on. I honestly don't care if I ever hear it again, live or recorded!

Come to think of it I have never taken a 'potty break' during my three EC shows.
I suppose the excitement just stops all bodily functions except for breathing, singing and dancing. :D

Potty breaks

Post by Fishfinger king »

Not been a problem since he seems to have dispensed with support acts (at least in the UK). That's the time to drink - and pee when the support finishes. Since supports stopped there's barely enough time to get there, let alone have a drink first - therefore no problem. With one exception...
Saw him during the North tour October '03 at Festival Hall, which clashed with the last Euro 04 qualifier between Turkey and England, which kicked off at 6ish. Only solution was to watch game in a Waterloo pub beforehand and leave after final whistle to get to gig. One has to imbibe in such circumstances (obviously..) :D Big rush to get to Festival Hall, barely time for pee, then long gig. Matter of principle not to leave....but bit of a stressed bladder by the end. Mind it was North-...though would have been pissed off to miss My Mood Swings with Brodskys.

Sour Milk-Cow Blues halfway through the concert would sort out the problem.
