I'm off to work!

This is for all non-EC or peripheral-EC topics. We all know how much we love talking about 'The Man' but sometimes we have other interests.

I just added Slovenia's ambassador to the list of delegates for a meeting next week. Actually, I haven't done that yet, but I'm about to (and if I had a nickel for every time I said that at work, I wouldn't need to work!).

pophead: Do tell, what seem to be the topics that you need to work on? I think this thread would be the perfect place to do it!

I ran around town for what might have been hours with a chunk of my son's green lollipop stuck to my black t-shirt in the nipular area, like a precious, shining emerald.

I just had my tea, and am now feeling strangely dispondant. Maybe I need a biscuit...shame we've no Hobnobs in the house.

See, its like this MBA. My verbal scores are very high, but I haven't had math in 20+ years! I'm doing OK with the algebra, but the geometry keeps getting in the way. Any general math tips?

Oh yeah, I'm enjoying a tic tac right now everybody!

I'm contemplating straightening up my livingroom for 15 minutes before I got to pick up my son. Contemplating, contemplating.....

I'll look over the geometry section in my teacher's edition when I get home tonight, and I'll get back to you!

SP: test is on Jan. 28, but who knows, I may need to take it again after the EC show!

MBA: thanks in advance for any tips. I now know the mindset of my students taking the ACT. In Louisiana, if you score a 21 and have a 2.5 GPA, the state pays for your college if you go to one of the state universities. The pressure is high, the stakes are high, and it kills me because standardized tests suck.

Oh yeah, I did some yard work today (its 80 degrees in N.O.) and am enjoying a beverage while my lovely girlfriend prepares a yummy vegetable stir fry.

I just had a vegetable stir fry myself, and I am now sending pophead2k a PM.
This morning you've got time for a hot, home-cooked breakfast! Delicious and piping hot in only 3 microwave minutes.

i just had a spectacular BM. that is the highlight of the day for an old tit like me. and let me tell you it was a goody. nothin an old geezer with an anachronistic sense of humor likes better other than maybe tellin' a story or two. i find when i ain't regular i get moody. and after a couple of days you wonder where that stuff is, what's holdin it up you know. it's spooky. seems like george carlin oughta have a BM bit. maybe he does and i'm out of touch. anyway, thought i'd scoop you on my poop.

I got to know myself a little better tonight. I'm tempted to do even more, er, self-discovery but seeing as how my editor is probably close to putting my picture on a dartboard maybe I should hold off on that till the 16th.

Just dragged my weary ass into the office, feeling the effects of a crazy night in town that won't be divulged here, but ended with big time munchies and the proverbial late night schwarma at 2 o'clock in the morning.

I got up at 5:30 this morning. Then I had a cup of coffee. I just woke up the four kids and DrS.

Next I will feed our parakeet.

I hope Jordan had a good birthday and that neither you nor the good DrS woke up hungover

Well, Doc and I always end the night of a child's birthday with a bottle of champagne - just being thankful for the child whose day we just celebrated, and sort of a pat on the back for ourselves for being responsible parents. But I can hold my liquor, mostly even better than Doc, so no hangover here. :)

And Jordan LOVED the Family Guy Volume 2!

Spooky, what a nice tradition. That sounds like my idea of nearly perfect family life-- couldn't wish it on a nicer or more deserving person.

Courtesy John Wesley Harding:

I Just Woke Up
I just woke up
And I feel so good
And I'm looking straight ahead
My thoughts are wild
All I do is smile
And I'm jumping out of bed
I Just woke up (just woke up)

I just woke up
And the sun is bright
And it's shining down on me
If you've got big ideas
I'm all ears
But all I plan to do is be
And I just woke up (just woke up)

From a bad dream......

I just woke up (just woke up)

I've just started my annual Ribena period. Usually begins after New Year. Hot water and a bit of that sweet sticky syrup.
