This is for all non-EC or peripheral-EC topics. We all know how much we love talking about 'The Man' but sometimes we have other interests.

Bobster's Highly Flammable Pre-Xmas Thread

Post by bobster »

Okay, I think I've figured out why we're having a outbreak of vituperation.

While you turn on each other, the real truth is that while you all pretend to like me for my putatively (mostly) agreeable, non-flaming ways, it's nevertheless the case that the most hated poster, by far, is...me!

That's right, it's time someone said it, and if it has to be me, I guess that's just the way it is.

So, I invite you all to stop attacking each other and turn on the real enemy...me!

I'm waiting....

Nah, I don't mean it. It's too hard to fake. Sorry, man. I tried.

No, that was good. Keep trying. Find your inner Bobster hate. Remember, there is no trying to hate Bobster, this is only hating Bobster!

I do find the red x's quite annoying, but on my screen you come up as a blue "?"!

You see that's another problem. Too gosh darn accomodating....(you know I'm really just sucking up...)

Keep it coming folks. I'm leaving for awhile, so you can really have at me, safe in the knowledge that I won't know how you REALLY feel until it's too late.

You might recall at the House of Blues Concert In West Hollywood where I purchased a drink for you and kept your spot on the floor during your restroom visits in spite of the surging throngs of EC fans in various stages of intoxication.

And did I ever get so much as an offer for some foaming amber liquid in return? No!

Shame on you for allowing a morally rightous, red as a fire engine conservative buy you a drink, exchange pleasantries and great movie scenes (Did You ever catch "Hysterical Blindness" with Juliet Lewis and Uma Thurman...dang, pretty good C Movie material), all with the sinister motive of bilking me to advance your liberal agenda.

But I am over it now. Water under the bridge. I find myself fascinated by your grasp of the edge of the world of cinema that only a few dare to venture into.

And as a final thought, you and Ms. Spooky are, in my mind, the two most likely to NOT have a short list of enemies...never mind a long list. Good People is good people.

Now offer to buy me that damn beer. I don't drink, but I do find respite in a good, vintage tube of Testors Model Airplane glue, especially during the Holidays.

Peace. Out.

how do you amplify your mooing so?

I love you bobster, and your little red "x" - didn't prince have a song about that?
Like me, the "g" is silent.

Sorry Bobster, I cant hate you either. I like all those things about you, especially the red x and the flaming liberalism.

I havent heard the mooing yet so, you know, maybe thats something I can hate in the future. Hope springs eternal, right?

I for one have no trouble hating you, Bobster, but although your annoying tendancy to make liberalism too fun won my vote in the end, really, there are soooo many other reasons I can think of:

- Anyone who replaces a steaming cup of coffee with a red X is surely the spawn of Satan

- You neglected to see my casting of you as Krusty as a sign of my undying love

- You confused the hell out of me (something to do with tattoos?) about 2 years ago, and I've never forgiven you

- You refuse to acknowlege the brilliance that is Rex the Runt.

Although I'm happy you're a fellow fan of Teen Titans.

Hated

Post by A rope leash »

Bobster is running for Jesus.

Most of the battling around here lately has involved one particular irritant, WHAR, whom I believe to be an imposter. I suppose one could even say that I “hate” WHAR, as much as I could “hate” any anonymous entity. But, Bobster I could never “hate”, because Bobster never says anything that is really “hateful”.

If you want to be hated, Bob, you must go out on the limb. Describe rough sex in lurid terms. Disclaim and denounce religion. Disparage a political belief with honest, stinging logic. Act all ignorant when someone needles you lovingly in a half-baked thread, and get all mad about it, and hurl desperate insults back until you look completely idiotic. That’s how you get hated, Bob.

Nice of you to attempt to take on our sins, sir, but even Jesus offended some folks. You deserve the Truly Special Award, even if you already chucked it.

Of course, if anybody wants to take out their frustrations, they always know they have this dog to kick…

WHAR, huh, yeah...what is it good for?

'And I don't think that I ever loved you more...
Than when you turned away,
When you slammed the door.
When you stole the car and drove towards Mexico,
And you wrote bad checks just to fill your arm.

I was young then, I still believed in war.

But let the poets cry themselves to sleep,
And all their tearful words could turn back into steam.

But me Im a single cell on a serpants tongue,
And theres a muddy field where a garden was.
And I'm glad you got away,
But I'm still stuck out here,
My clothes are soaking wet from your brothers tears

'But if I could act like this was my real life,
And not some cage where I've been placed.
Well then I could tell you-
The truth like I used to,
And not be afraid of sounding fake.
Now all everyones listening for are all the mistakes.

I actually remember making some half-hearted noises about buying you one, and you wouldn't hear of it...but isn't that typically passive aggressive of this then-unemployed EC fan.

But that's good, everyone. Keep letting the anger out, though I'm not sure about the glue sniffing.

Now, that's the spirit!

However...I live in Orange County now...which is only 35 miles from L.A. geographically, but spiritually about 1000 miles. I do work out at the gym, but I look like someone who doesn't....My parents were definitely not rich (at least that's what they kept telling us on a daily basis). I went "skiing" once...actually, I went falling down and screaming a lot, sort of like paying $65.00 for a personalized panic attack.

And thanks for all the (unwanted) nice thoughts!

But feel the hate...and Merry Everything, Everyone! :D

I think you like pointing out how well-liked and uncontroversial you are a little *too* much.....and you keep stepping over me in conversation and I never, ever get to tell you my take on Mystic River. Bastard.

As I'm sure you know, Bobster, the love impulse in men frequently reveals itself in terms of conflict.

So all this lightning-rod for unrest business is just a pathetic cry for love and attention, isn't it. Draw your own conclusions about the rest of the unrest.

Happy holidays, bobster, you piece of shit crap-hound, you.

You had me going there for a second....Damn. I thought I had tapped some real venom.

Maybe I should start a discussing sexually explicit, politically charged, conspiracy theories involving Zach Braff and trannies.
