Holiday wishlist

What do YOU want for christmas/hannukah/yule/kwanza/etc?

Here's what's topping my list:

Seinfeld - Season 3 DVD
Fat Albert - The Ultimate Collection DVD
The History of Rock 'n' Roll DVD
I guess you can call me a DVD junkie.

I also wouldn't mind something that I can plug a microphone into my computer with that will result in better sound for recording music.
This morning you've got time for a hot, home-cooked breakfast! Delicious and piping hot in only 3 microwave minutes.

All I want is kitchen gear, like a nice big skillet, and a nice little skillet, and the three knives that every cook needs: a chopper, a paring knife, and a serrated knife. And a food mill. No one is going to get me these things, unfortunately.

Pip! As my ecfans.com buddy, I must advise against an iPod, and for the Creative Zen Touch... which has double the battery life (24 hoursss), cheaper price, better sound quality (97 db something or other), and more features.

This may well be spot on, considering this advice I received from Creative when I complained that my Zen had only lasted 3 months:
These devices are very similar to laptops, instead of to Walkman's, as we would like to believe. I know for a fact that I would not jog with my laptop, or even take a light walk with it.
Bear in mind that you *have* to dance with an iPod (it's the law).

Continued Good Health for my family, loved ones, and I.

Miles Davis - Porgy and Bess CD
Miles Davis - The complete "In a Silent Way" Sessions
U2 - New

The secret to ripping and burning music to CD's without skips, pops, etc. I am at my wits end. Anyone who can point me to a primer or a resource on how to do it, I would be indebted to.

By the way, I was formerly able to do it until I upgraded to Windows Media Player 10 and service pack 2. Maybe I should just invest in Roxio and try that route. Any suggestions? I would welcome a PM with any idea's.

The things I want are vague intangibles that I want for other people, mostly, and are therefore too embarrassing to talk about in public.

However, I should be embarrassed to admit that a Shop-Vac would be awesome.

But I'm not.

A Shop-Vac is a very handy thing indeed. They work great on hardwood floors. And they can't be beat for vacuuming cars.

We have one which is also a leaf blower. We don't use it that way often but it was handy when inflating a swimming pool for the kids.

Don't forget to make sure it is wet/dry. One trick I have unfortunately had to use more than once is how to use a Shop-Vac to unclog a drain.

this is what I've been missing!

nobody tell Cope about Dyson vacuum cleaners. he might get into a cleaning frenzy.

on my wish list, a Hellcat Records hoodie. I love their logo - it's the perfect representation of my mental state. the next Give 'Em the Boot. a bottle of Thirsty Lizard white shiraz. a week to myself.

perusing the local paper's classifieds, I came across a used drum set for sale. Complete with 'symbols.' I'm thinking that might be fun.

Wet/dry, of course. Goes without saying. Do tell how to unclog a drain. I like to be prepared. Would you use the blow or the suck feature. Hoo boy, this is getting weird.
