Robert Wyatt up for U.K. award

This is for all non-EC or peripheral-EC topics. We all know how much we love talking about 'The Man' but sometimes we have other interests.

Cuckooland is great, and hopefully this nomination will open his music to new people. FF are also great and I wouldn't know which to vote for as the the albums are so different.

Wow, now there's a vocal combination! How many must-buy LPs are coming in the next few months?!?

Indeed, how many were there? I've revived this thread to alert you all to a Wyatt documentary on BBC Radio 2 this evening.
Presenter Phil Manzanera talks candidly and humourously to Robert Wyatt about his time in Soft Machine, the art rock band of the era, his solo work, and collaborations in the music business
So there may be mentions of/contributions by Elvis.

I finally got to hear Robert's Shipbuilding recently. Impressive attempt, but nothing that would sell me on him.

Any gems I'm missing out on?

Every music collection should have this compilation. Unfortunately it's no longer on catalogue, a disgrace. Get a copy by any means.
