This morning you've got time for a hot, home-cooked breakfast! Delicious and piping hot in only 3 microwave minutes.

Bachelor of Arts in History, minor German.
finished up two years of a four year Bachelor of Fine Arts equivalent.
additional coursework in interior design.
will likely not finish up to equal a Master's.
oh well, there's only so much time in a life.

BA in English, double major (after an administrative battle)--literature and creative writing, which means I can find stuff in the library and I'm pretty good with those --- and ?!?!s. minors in french (I kid you not) and anthropology. just wait til you're dead--I'll dig you up, describe in lurid detail how long you've been dead by the kinds of bugs nibbling on you and throw some escargot around. I'm fun at parties.
and VG, I'm currently doing granulate studies at the School of Hard Knocks. One day, one day, I'll be Dr. Swung...or should that be Swung, Ph. D.?
and I'll just bet it was extremely well written.I just wrote an email to my boss in French, asking him to turn in some paperwork, so I guess it has some use...?

Like me, the "g" is silent.
BA in Motion Picture/Television, but I did two years time in English (the ook-lah undergrad film program was only two years in those days). I claim to be a charter member of Garrison Keeler's National Organization of English Majors.

I too am technically a high school dropout. I have an Ed.M. but it has meant nothing to my life apart from a loan I only just finished paying off a year or so ago.
I both support and work in the field of higher education, but I can list instantly a dozen morons I know with higher degrees and a dozen brilliant folks without 'em. Which isn't to say they're not worth pursuing; they just don't mean anything in and of themselves. In my semi-educated opinion.

Dumb luck? I have no idea, but my lack of formal education has not stood in the way of my progress as a technical writer.wehitandrun wrote:How did you get by?Tim(e) wrote:I had to select "high school dropout" as there was no option for "failure".
