One of them was a wife-beating, gun-carrying bastard and the other hated this so much that he refused to speak to him until he mended his ways, which he never did, so they never spoke.

That's close enough. In 1968, in a case of domestic violence, Dave Prater shot his own wife in the face. She lived, and Sam Moore said that he would continue working with Dave, but would never speak to him or look at him again off-stage. This continued until the pair finally split up in 1981.

Over to you otis.

well I'm not sure I really deserved that, and am amazed others didn't know it, but it is very quiet around here (I guess everyone's busy enjoying the weekend!) and I've become a shameless point-fiend, so I'll gladly take it and update the list.

New q: Which presenter/host of a long-running BBC radio show has guested on a Radiohead LP? (Tell us the song for good measure.)

Arrrggghhhh, I knew the Sam&Dave one, I'll just have to stop going to work, I guess.

Fortunately I know this one too: Humphrey Littleton on Life in a Glasshouse off Amnesiac.

So why didn't you set a new question? Maybe not going to work is a good option.

Yes, work, doing my own job and covering for three others off sick/on holidays, while my evening replacement turns up over an hour late.

Now that that's off my chest:

A song title shared by Squeeze, Tom Waits and The Who. What is it?

I can't hang around waiting for the next question I'll probably miss... can the answerer have the option of leaving a question anyway? If it's just a wild guess for example you might not bother, but you might be right... If their answer isn't right, then no point awarded for answering the extra question, but more questions available to have a go at.

Have we stopped giving out points?

I guess it's my turn to talk:

Name three artists signed to The Beatles' 'Apple' label (not including The Beatles or solo Beatles)

No, I'm just suggesting that a question may be left to avoid the long periods without one. Whether a point would then be awarded for it would depend...

That is correct. I also would have accepted James Taylor, Billy Preston and Doris Troy.
