Not hated, I just find no reason in it to want to watch it again. I've tried a few times, hence the diner being in my head.

OK, one for POP, if she's around:

A band called the Crucial Three formed in Liverpool in May 1977, only existed for 6 weeks, and never played to an audience, but became legendary due to its three future stars of the Liverpool scene. Who were those stars? (And if you wish, what bands did they make their names with.)

I won't be back till Saturday am here, by the way.

The crucial Three consisted of Ian McCuloch, Pete Wylie and Julian Cope , who later went on to become members of Teardrop Explodes and Echo & the Bunnymen.

Absolutely right, Gilli, I'm sure Otis wont mind me confirming this. Pete Wylies went on to be a member of Wah Heat.
So, your question please.

Yeah, right on (hey, I am here after all!). Amazing that a name of a band that never performed live could be so legendary.

I'm already anxious about Gilli posing a question I'll think I've got right or she's got wrong when I now know that the opposite can only ever apply. let's hope someone else answers it before I get back...

Here's an easy one. Name Ian McCulloch's first solo single.

That's the album it came from, the title track was the 3rd single to be taken from it. Indeed, I should clarify things a bit. I'm looking for the name of his first solo single after the demise of the Echos, Ian released a solo single of September Song back in 1984.

OK. This is easy for me, so maybe for others too.

Which area of Manchester is punned as a made-up female backing vocalist on which Smiths song? (The supposed woman in question is really just a speeded up Moz.)

No, not Sal Ford. Is this too obscure? There are many Smiths fans here, and this is a classic Smiths detail. Of course we lack Mancunians. let's see if anyonbe can get it on Wednesday.

I have them on my mind having bought the excellent Q/Mojo Smiths special at the weekend. They're a bit steep these things at £5.99, but for no adverts and a nice wealth of info, reviews, interviews and photos, it feels like a good deal.

Ahh, yes, sorry, doing nightshifts y'see...

Convoluted question time: Which group released the first song off their third album as a single at the end of 1995 before releasing a fifth single from their second album at the start of 1996? It's a well known band so guess away, I'd be asking too much to get yous to name the songs too.
