About our wonderful selves - answer a question and ask one

This is for all non-EC or peripheral-EC topics. We all know how much we love talking about 'The Man' but sometimes we have other interests.

Misha...no I was on the Shetland Islands. Dark at 11, light at 3, not many people, lots and lots of sheep.

Verb...alas, no women for the Crow AGAIN  Did see a barmaid going commando in jeans though, was a good 'craic'.... :D

Smiles all round!

and one just for crow: how did you know the barmaid was commando? I mean, just out of curiosity and not for future reference or anything. but maybe I don't need to know. in fact I'm sure I don't.

so there is an answer to the musical question How Low Can You Go. and they're hiphuggers, dammit, not low rise. (All My Friends know the low riser.....The Low Ris Er is a little higher...) will this be the victim of invalid_session? let's hope so.

It was The Curse of Mood. Expect Lance Armstrong to fall off his bicycle any time now.

Yeah, big vacation plans here. Me, the Dr and all four kids are headed up your way tomorrow, Moody. Dinner is on you and your Elvis-lovin' husband. :)

the Curse of Mood is a corollary to Murphy's Law, in that should Mood cast a curious glance towards an object, said object will immediately prove the tendency of energy to disperse into chaos.(witness the TN Vols, Titans as well as the SJ Earthquakes). I wear sunglasses a lot. And I'm hoping for Armstrong to get a 6th. So he's DOOMED.

when does school start back in your area?

Is that a joke question? I'm going to go with none of them.

Will the girl I want to move in with doesn't want me to move in with her?

If you are both considerate of each other, there shouldn't be any problems.

What source(s) do you turn to for new music? Radio...MTV...word-of-mouth....magazines?

Ah, but she has not yet decided whether she wants me as a roomie, is the rub. I can (and probably should have) provide testimonials to my consideration from former roommates...

I hear about new music from...all different places. Sometimes I listen to launch.yahoo.com--the indie rock station. Sometimes I buy a CD because the cover catches my eye. Sometimes you just hear so much about a band that curiosity overwhelms you. But not from MTV.

Poppet!! Great to see a baseball fan out there. There are not as many as thier used to be. I grew up with the Braves (when they stunk). I got to see a Braves game in Atlanta this year for the first time since 1978. I had the time of my life. We saw the Braves play the Red Sox on July 2nd. We were surrounded by Boston fans in my section. I must say that the Boston faithful were excellent company. We gave each other plenty of grief but they were very nice and all was in good natured fun. No fights or bad tempers. The game and the fans were a blast.

The game was back and forth and went to extra innings and the Braves won!!! (sorry but come on it was my first game there in 26 years, give me a break).

Anyway, I am guessing we have 2 things in common. We both love baseball and we both hate the F&!*@&#^ YANKEES !!!!

Twins fan here, crash. Sorry about the '91 Series!

MBA - I think you still had a previous question on the board. My friends don't generally call past 10 pm. And the thirsty thing....maybe you have a high metabolism or something.

Question: this is for the classical music fans on the board. If you could guest conduct an ensemble in a concert setting, which ensemble would it be and which piece would you choose to conduct?

The Kronos Quartet doing a selection of Nick Drake songs. Those guys are brilliant!

Describe the best musician you personally know.
This morning you've got time for a hot, home-cooked breakfast! Delicious and piping hot in only 3 microwave minutes.

Nobby for glam rock tribute band Flairz.

They're website is http://www.flairz2000.freeserve.co.uk

We went to see them last night in the rock capital of Crayford. If you like glam rock and you ever get a chance to see them then go.

What can you see out of the nearest window?
Who’s this kid with his mumbo jumbo?
