How cold is it where you are?

This is for all non-EC or peripheral-EC topics. We all know how much we love talking about 'The Man' but sometimes we have other interests.

How cold is it where you are?

Post by BlueChair »

I never thought I'd stay home because of the outdoor temperature, but it's so cold here today that there have been warnings issued.

The current temperature here in Toronto is -5 F (-21 C), but with the windchill it apparently feels like -25 F (-32 C).

What does it feel like when it's that cold? I hope not to find that out.
This morning you've got time for a hot, home-cooked breakfast! Delicious and piping hot in only 3 microwave minutes.

It's just mild here today about 6 degrees C, a bit windy though.

Nothing like you get the cold you get there...we specialise in rain.

As to what it's like outside in the extreme cold...one word: nipples!

My boyfriend said it was too cold for me to leave his house last night. I reluctantly agreed, and now that I've started staying over on work nights, I don't know when I'll ever go home again. I also don't know how we're going to keep this a secret if we start showing up together every day...

Just warm enough for all the rain that came to not be snow - about 34F. Not too bad, although they had predicted some "wintry mix", which usually sends our little southern town all a flutter to the grocery store for milk and bread. Instead, we just have a cold, rainy day with gray skies. Blah.

Settling down? Never! It sounds too much like "settling."

Did you sing a duet of Baby It's Cold Outside?

And how did you come to "reluctantly" agree? :? I have my suspicions...

I was hoping this thread would hotten things up a bit as it's about 4 degrees C outside with a nasty wind. The weather forecast doesn't look promising for the weekend and I'm playing football on Sunday. It is never acceptable in Sunday football to wear gloves!

It's a balmy 12' F. here in Boston, but the sun is shining and the wind's not bad. It was 7 when I woke up.

I guess I am a sicko, but I feel disappointed when the winter doesn't produce a few days of single digits, and at least one at or below zero (less common). It just scratches a particular itch I have...

From an email I got today (I'm not in this story, I swear!):
A friend of mine had a threesome the other night and actually blamed it on the cold, saying that they needed an extra person to keep them warm. Yes, that is what he said.

On Monday morning it was 6 degrees, with a wind chill of -20. It's "warm" now--a whole 20 degrees. Yay.

It sucks that I have to warm up my car to drive 1.5 miles to work/school...

It was so cold here today, that when I went to the store, the lady in line next to me couldn't even feel my legs!
