Does rather appear that Elvis might possibly have relaxed with a drink or six shortly prior to the show...

He does indeed seem a tad over beveraged. The fact that he seems not to recall the lyrics in a few places reminds me of something I have meant to remark upon for some time. Namely, has anyone else noticed that Pete Thomas seems to know all the words to every song and mouths them along with Elvis in almost every performance?

He said to me after a gig “Here’s a man who knows all the words to all the songs”.

Drummers are the goalies of bands and he has the safest pair of hands. Pathetic that he is never included in the interminable best ever lists
