London meet up - Saturday 21st May
Our last meet up was terrific and saw about a dozen of us meet up for a fantastic afternoon at the White Swan in Aldgate East. The new album was out and the jukebox had Elvis galore!
We all agreed it would be great to meet up before the tour starts so with covid about to be a thing of the past ( ) we can go to the same place from 2pm.
We had a private room upstairs last time and I can book this although the pub downstairs was very quiet so we decamped there as it was closer to the bar! If you would prefer to socially distance then I can book the room.
There were plenty of goodies on offer such as specially commissioned CDs (from sulky lad), music magazines and Royal Variety Show programmes. All very generous. The newbies really enjoyed the day and are coming back for more.
It’d be great to see you. The usual suspects are there but don’t let that put you off!

I'm always keen on going to one of these meet ups but I always seem to have something else planned on the day. I've got a ticket to see Ultimate Bowie in Milton Keynes on that day. What time does it all wind down as maybe I could make it for a few hours before rushing back over to Euston?verbal gymnastics wrote:Our last meet up was terrific and saw about a dozen of us meet up for a fantastic afternoon at the White Swan in Aldgate East. Whatever happened to those Scandinavians anyway?
Re: London meet up - Saturday 21st May
As the salary only arrives once a month, my allowance is limited to a trip to Glasgow two weeks after this event.sulky lad wrote: Whatever happened to those Scandinavians anyway?
With a tight budget I think there is room for a small English roundtrip covering Portsmouth-Swansea-Ipswich-London as well two weeks later. I might bump into a few of the locals when travelling
Preparations are also ongoing for the Danish leg of the tour and maybe a local, regional meet-up in conjunction with that will happen.
In addition to this, I also need to plan some vacation for the summer! Hectic life indeed.

Gutted you won’t be there. If you miss the next one it’s three strikes and you’re out

I look forward to seeing you somewhere along the way.
It’s a lovely day in London. This is going to be a fun afternoon. It’s not too late if anyone can make it.
