Theres more things in WIWC than we listen on the first time.
This is a good record with three obvious standout tracks: Tart, Alibi and Episode of Blonde!

It's on the UK edition of WIWC. Is it not on the US version then?

It's only on the 'special edition' UK release verb...even though it was only indicated by a little silver sticker. I dunno if it was on the 'tour edition'..but it was only available in the US on Cruel Smile I believe...

speaking of which, do you think they'll ever release a version of North with 'North' on, or will it be a future b-side?

Cheers LC. Mind you I always thought these Special Editions were limited to the first 5 million copies anyway :? I'll have to look in the stores and see if there are any non-special editions.

That reminds me, I still haven't gotten around to downloading the title track of North yet.

I tried to...but failed, plus it's no fun having it on a computer or on a blank CD...that's why I think that George Michael's lastest scheme to distribute free music won't work (Im not saying I'd buy George Michaels' records by the way  ).

The US got Oh Well on Cruel Smile, along with WIWC #1. I like the sequencing on the US album very well. And I like Soul For Hire, although I do think it's the weakest of the songs on WIWC. But that's a very strong set of songs, so I mean no real criticism of it. Perhaps that song would have sounded better on a different record.

Personally Soul for Hire is one of my favourites. I love is speedy vocal. Reminds me of why I got into him in the first place. Never understood why so many seem to dislike it....

'Oh Well '?......not for me....a bit dull.

Oh...and I don't often disagree with VG whom I respect a great deal, but........

comparing WIWC to IB is like comparing The Clangers to Star Wars ....no competition!!

Jackson, calling IB "the Clangers" might be a bit harsh...

HEY....leave the Clangers out of this!!!!

It's more like comparing Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan with Star Trek: First Contact...

or The Silence of the lambs with Manhunter...

or Great Expectations with The Pickwick Papers...

or Marilyn Monroe with Jean Harlow...

or Prokofiev's Romeo and Juliet with Love for three oranges...

I'll shut up now. Just excited as have finished a major project!!!! Hurrah!!!
