I never thought this record was quite as good as Elvis thought, but it has its moments. 'It's Time' should have been a hit and maybe will be, for some canny singer looking to score with a cover.

I should explain my ranking of the title track. It's got a gorgeous melody and some touching lyrics, but the wheels fall off in the final verse, which I find heavy-handed and pretentious. Maybe I'm missing something...(?)

Hmm, "Why Can't A Man?..." getting no love. I like the song myself, especially the version on the Costello & Nieve set.
