I neglected to mention earlier that Elvis Costello is allowed.

I pictured that 13 artists would more pleasing, so to try 13.

I hadn't seen any alternative to me chosing the adjectives myself to start this off... Change one if you think of a better one.

But for now I'm due for another 'switcheroo' (the switching of 2 adjectives over on third song swaps*, that allows you to bring in an artist in exchange for another along with of course a new song).

I'll amend the initial post with this new info so newcomers can avoid confusion.

In: Elvis Costello - Peace In Our Time. It feels so grave, like the heaviest funeral procession. A mournful protest against politicians in the Islas Malvinas/Falklands Islands crisis.

iN: pULP: F.E.E.L.I.N.G.C.A.L.L.E.D.L.O.V.E. There are some grating sounds in this fine Pulp song. Eerie background keys, unsettling drumming, the tension building... it is definitely grating. But Jarvis Cocker's brilliant lyrics make it compelling.

The swapping of the adjectives is a bit weird though: Bangladesh has now been labelled political, joyous and passionate.

I'd feared that some might have been thinking of it that way -- that they would have to try to make the adjectives always match the songs.... But I think that would be too hard. What I'd conceived was that the artists would always get a new emphasis with a new adjective, for completely different cool songs by that artist to be considered. So, earlier, I was trying to give George Harrison a new emphasis with JOYOUS, not match Bangladesh, which obviously is not a joyous song. It's an organic and metamorphic tower ruled by chaos... all 13 of the Artist/Adjective/Song matches will hardly ever be perfect.
