My birthday
Okay, I know it's a bit shameless to do this, but I feel pretty lucky to be here after everything that's happened to me this year and I want to share my thoughts with all of you.
Tomorrow is my 39th birthday. So, I face the last year of my 30's not dreading it but looking forward to the next decade. I have had to learn so much these past few years - tough lessons on being a wife, a mom, and a woman.
Since joining the old site in April, I have met some of you in person, have plans to meet still more of you, and have grown to enjoy emailing and posting to many of you. There are so many of you that have seen me through good and bad days over the past few months and for that I am very grateful.
I know there are heated discussions on this board from time to time, but overall I love being here and wondering what will come next from all of you. I know it may sound sappy, but I feel glad to still be around and just wanted to share that thought.

Ah, to be a mere 39 again...
I think I mentined somewhere before...40's are not as hard as 30 was. At 30, I pretty much had to give up the idea that I was ever going to be young again, and, because I was laid up due to an auto accident (deja-vu, sp00ks), I felt extremely old & washed up on that particular b-day.
You're still a year short of the big 4-Oh, but, for me, it was more an acceptance of things the way that they are, and becoming content with the person I've become.
I STILL hate my new job, but I'm damned good at it. Given time (I'm giving it 90 days), I'm betting I'll be back in a rut, and puuurfectly happy.
Oops!! Sorry, sp00ks, Friday night, and I'm ramblling. Have missed you all immensely!!
Love, Hugs, Kisses and Best Wishes on you 39th....

May I join the chorus of well-wishers?
Well, happy birthday anyway...and 39 is a great age. I like it some much I've been that age for over two years! (I'm channelling Jack Benny today.)
Have a good one!

It's okay, LTZ - it's the thought that counts. I'm sure Shabbs can show you how though.
Thanks so much to everybody for your kind wishes. I have had a wonderful, quiet weekend (kids are out of town), good food and champagne, and "quality" time with the husband.
You guys are such a part of my days - thanks for letting me share my thoughts with all of you!
Okay, next birthdays - I believe Mood Swung is next and somewhere later comes BWAP. Anybody else? Maybe we need a birthday list for the board.
