Glad you're pleased, 'mug. I realize I haven't seen many of his movies besides some of the sort of blockbuster ones. I must check you out in US Marshalls again.

How could anything called a "sexbot" be a bad thing? Some of us might consider that a compliment. "Dr. Caron" does NOT sound like a sexbot, sadly.

Me I don't know what sort of charater I was cast in, never mind I'm grateful that I was given a couple of things to play.

Given the choice there's one part I'd be interested in : Maddie in "Moonlighting" ! Yeah she's a bitch, but I think a little practise could do me good (and once I had a crush on David  ).

Or else there is a character in "All about Eve" whom I always liked. A second role... in the movie she is a friend of the main actress, and she is interested in what the younger one is up to. Would anyone remember her name ?

HaHa! I'm Randy? (no pun intended.) How does that line go? He lay there helpless like a slug - his only defense.

"In the heat of battle, my father wove a tapestry of obscenity, that as far as we know, is still hanging in space over lake Michigan."

Randy is SO annoying, but I am still honored and glowing to be a part of such an amazing film. Thank you Goody!

Eli: Well, everyone knows Custer died at Little Bighorn. What this book presupposes is... maybe he didn't.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Eli: [reading part of his newest novel at a press conference] The crickets and the rust-beetles scuttled among the nettles of the sage thicket. "Vámonos, amigos," he whispered, and threw the busted leather flintcraw over the loose weave of the saddlecock. And they rode on in the friscalating dusklight.

Verena --

Here's a page from http://www.imdb.com that should answer your question about "All About Eve" (which is, btw, definitely filled with great parts for us board members, if anyone wants to take it on). I think the character/actress you're thinking of is Celeste Holm as Karen Richards, Margo's sensible best friend.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0042192/

BTW, the IMDB (stands for "Internet Movie Data Base") is a great, great resource for answering all your nagging movie questions. As long as you know the title of a movie, or even only the name of an actor, director, writer, etc., you can nearly always find out most of the basic facts about who was in what movie, etc. The only thing that trips people up is they always go by the original language title of a film. So if you enter "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon", you'll get it the Mandarin title. You'll also get the other versions of the book that it was based on which never played in the West, didn't have Chow Yun Fat or Michelle Yeoh, etc.

I wonder how often Ms. BA and Alec Baldwin are up for the same parts.

Well, MBA keeps her overhead low so that she doesn't have to do The Cat In The Hat although I will say that if The Cooler had featured her in Baldwin's role then you'd have the greatest film of all time.

Meow. I am delighted that my first nonhuman part is as a member of the feline family. My cat is even happier.

However, I have no memory of Krook's cat....or Krook, for that matter. I think I read "Bleak House" about five or ten years....I have litle memory of any of these people/animals, other than Ada (I think...she's the impossibly good narrator, second cousin to Melanie from "Gone With the Wind", right?) All I remember is the idea that you really should not invest most of your money/life in a lawsuit. I already suspect that, but the novel made it wonderfully concrete.

Bleak House was an excellent series, although I've yet to see the last episode (on vcr - too much festivitying). I could no doubt play the Krook part without trying which is why Otis has cast me thus. However I would like to try something a little more challenging and so would like to audition for Smallweed - a role to die for - I'm sure I can pull it off.

I misread that the first time thru as Johnny Knoxville....

but I am tickled to death to be a heroine!! now, I'll be forced to read the book.

it can't be worse than that other-one-that-shall-not-be-named. you'd never know I was an English major, would ya?

Gosh, another humblingly fantastic role for me. Retire me now!

Nathalie Press isn't someone I knew but she looks like a much prettier version of me when I was that age, so I feel well cast, at least as the actress!

I can't *wait* to see this series; I'll probably want to buy it, as it's my fave Dickens novel, and this cast is packed with fantastic people... Tom Georgeson, Charles Dance, Timothy West, Ian Richardson and Nathaniel Parker will all be familiar to PBS or BBC America viewers. I do have quite a soft spot for Nathaniel Parker and I can't wait to see him in a role that's not squeaky clean... Now if they'd just found places for Robbie Coltrane and Michael Kitchen I could die and go to heaven.

Thanks Otis.. always been a fan of Richard Griffiths and have always wanted to grow that Jimmy Edwards-like fur on my face - not sure about being partnered off with Zebrasnake though ;)
