The noun is fixed. Read my mind.

This is for all non-EC or peripheral-EC topics. We all know how much we love talking about 'The Man' but sometimes we have other interests.

It's not class or chemistry... It wouldn't work if it were just plastic, but yes it's a noun -- it's a thing. Has it been EC and The Imposters related? Yes. I've already told you what it rhymes with, and given another clue about a scientific attribute of it.

Noun time

Post by A rope leash »

The game is resurrected for the weekend.

The noun is fixed. Someone please be so kind as to ask the pertenent questions first.

Ask them all at once. The noun is fixed. The clues are few. Ask the right question, and I'll give one to you.

Tell me the noun, and we'll party down...

What does it do in it's spare time?

Does it have to be so cruel to be callous?

No, Storm, but that goddamn song has been stuck in my head all week!

It might be cruel or callous in the right measure. It has no spare time that I am aware of.

No more random guessing.

Is it something that would be likely to be found in Nick Lowe's hands ?

The randomness of the long-distance geusser...

Post by A rope leash »

It is not a fish-eating busy body, but it could be said that it is something that might be found in Nick Lowe's hands.

Few clues, few clues.

Elvis's thang

Post by A rope leash »

I like where your mind's at Gilli.

Since it is assumed that the noun is Elvis related, that halted noun on your tongue would have been appropriate, especially given all the talk over on the Elvis gossip thread.

Nick's only human.

Pissing missive

Post by A rope leash »

Hey, Shabbs, there a game right here on this board! It's called READ THE DOG'S MIND. It's real easy. First, you ask the dog simple questions about what noun is stuck in his head. You know, questions like "is it a person place or thing?", or "is it animal vegetable or mineral?". (But don't ask what is it or with what does it rhyme). When the noun is said, the dog will then throw a minor party. The game is moronic and burdonsome, but it is of vital importance to the Elvis Costello V.2 message forum as it keeps the dog preoccupied and therefore less likely bite someone's leg, or piss on the coffee table.

*takes a deep breath, releases it with satisfied happiness*

Come on , now, it's not a shirt, but it is a "thing", so I give that out because I'm feeling pleasant and I want to party.

You probably deserve punishment, but instead, I give you this:

Noun du jour

Post by A rope leash »

It's hard to say that it is an object at all, but I suppose it is. Around most houses, you don't see much of it, I'd say, and in almost every situation it could only be seen in association with another object.

It does exist. Ask a question get a clue. It's not a button, but the button could be this, and so could the shirt.
