Saves the Day @ The Avalon, Boston

This is for all non-EC or peripheral-EC topics. We all know how much we love talking about 'The Man' but sometimes we have other interests.

Don't hold your breath :)
This morning you've got time for a hot, home-cooked breakfast! Delicious and piping hot in only 3 microwave minutes.

Why not?

But there may in fact be some Saves The Day fans here... (Just not members of the "board elite", that's all. :) )

According to their website, "The songs are short and fast and angry and hopefully will make you want to tear your ears off your head... The rock is so outrageous it makes us want to shave off the top of our heads, just so we can do the comb over."

Sounds painful. Think I'll pass. I like my ears where they are and am happy with the top of my head too.

Their passed two albums have been anything but that.
I think you'd dig "Stay What You Are". Their latest effort, "In Reverie", is widely considered a disappointment.

They hadn't done a loud, fast record in 7 years- so it'd be great if the next one was a return to that style.

Check out the lyrics on their website- any song, they're all incredible.

I'm with Blue on this one. Too much of a music snob/elitist for this band. AND I LOVE HIM!
Loving this board since before When I Was Cruel.

I have a reputation for being that way. I only listen to and respect three artists constistently- Elvis Costello, Daryl Palumbo (Glassjaw, Head Automatica, etc), and Chris Conley (Saves The Day)... the rest is a revolving door, with many not lasting long.

I wouldn't disagree that Chris Conley is actually the better of those three in the lyrics department, as well.
