Spookys on Road Trip
Well dear folks, our kids are on spring break. We are taking a short trip up past Nashville into the Kentucky area, but will return late tomorrow. Just wanted to let you know - any problems that might arise will be addressed as soon as we return.
We have not been on the board much the past three days because one of our children, Jordan, passed out Friday and we spent most of the day in the emergency room. He was nonresponsive for a while and had several tests run. He is scheduled for an EEG later this week. We're hoping it's nothing serious, but things like this are always scary.
We might be a bit preoccupied, so if you need us, please be patient until we can get back to you.

Crikey!! Hope all goes well for Jordan - im sure its just one of those minor things . The one good thing about kids is one minute they are poorly and lifeless, and the next they are up and recovered and driving you mad again (thank God!!).
Let us know how it goes and try and relax and enjoy your break!

Thanks so much to all of you. We are back in town, safe and sound, and visited Dinosaur World in Cave City, Kentucky, and Lost River Cave in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
Jordan's test is on Thursday morning, but we can't find out the results for another week since the doctor is out of town. We're hoping for the influx of teen hormone diagnosis ourselves, although we just have to be sure.
Anyhoo, we're home. I'll get Spooky to post some pics in the Photo Annex.

Welcome back, Spookys!
My nephew went through the same thing recently--he kept passing out, and my sister's GP couldn't figure out why. Turns out the poor kid has allergies and asthma, but they've now got it under control and he's back to being a rowdy 9 year old.
I'm rooting for you and Jordan.

I just saw this. Obviously, my thoughts go out to Jordan now. Whatever happens, he's got some pretty great parents in his corner!

Thanks so much to all of you for your kind words.
Turns out, Jordan had a seizure. And had another one this morning. He had an EEG on Thursday and will see a neurologist in the next few days. When we spoke to one of the neurologists on the phone today, he said there is a possibility that kids his age can grow out of these things before adulthood (he is 13). He will most likely end up with an MRI in the near future.
Please keep him in your thoughts guys.

Okay everyone. We're finally taking our last chance at some summer travel before the kids start back to school. We'll be back in town on Sunday, but we will hopefully be checking in during the next few days from a computer somewhere.
Moody, we're headed your way!! Grab Jim and the kids - we're gonna have another one of those famous picnics!
