Check outOtis Westinghouse wrote:Oh fuck, how embarrassing! Wrong surname, and nationality. Though I was sure he was Canadian all the same. 'And The Range', right? So who is Cockburn? Damn I'm ignorant.

That's okay, Otis....because if you are, I am too.
I can't vote because i'm really not familiar enough with all of those artists.
There is just so much good music out there that unless it was your full time job, it would be impossible to get around to all of it.
I always feel like I'm missing out on some incredible stuff that I'm just not aware of.
You guys (and girls!) on this board have a really impressive taste, span, knowledge, interest, exposure....for so many different kinds of music.
It's really awesome. I don't know what i want to buy first!

I feel better now! Thanks, Martin, will check that out further. Good site.
If I'm not ignorant, though, I am very stupid, cos my beloved Ron Sexsmith is playing at the Cambridge Folk Festival on both Sat and Sun, and I had just assumd I could still get a ticket, and it's all sold out. I was hoping to see him a second time in 9 months, having been mightily impressed in London last year.
Could still get to see Roddy Frame on Thursday, might well be worth it.
Orchestra Baobab are playing on the Sunday too. Anyone know them? Only heard a little, but it was fabulous.
