We're back! And I have my tickets to see EC, SN and the Brodskys at the Beacon in February. Lovely.

Snowed in here in upstate New York. Been inside entertaining the kids all day. Jack Nicholson not bad in About Schmidt, and Kathy Bates is a hoot.

Kathy's role in that movie was WAY too short, IMHO.

I was so pleased that EC et al will be at Boston's Wang Center (despite its large size) because it does uses TeleCharge instead of Ticketmaster. TeleCharge is much more likely to hand out good seats to those who log on at the indicated time. So at 10am Friday instead of getting lousy Ticketmaster seats, I was able to get tickets in the 4th row. This has never happened before. I'm very excited! Also glad to see this site up and running again. Even we less addicted folks still worry when the site disappears for a few days.

How is it that you all find out about these lovely things? I know I live in backward Richmond and everything, and our newspaper is still discussing the Civil War (they are still pissed about having lost), but honestly, I didn't think I was that far out of the loop.

And Spookster, how is it that you got tickets for the Ryman? According to the Ryman website, tickets don't go on sale till the 12th. Was it some sort of secret presale? Secret password? Skull and bones stuff? My inner Communist somehow finds those things unfair, but only when I am not privy to them; my inner Capitalist would jump on the opportunity if offered, and congratulates you on a job well done!

Well, I really shouldn't complain, cause I've had some chioce seats in my day, but I wasn't able to get anything better than row 12 (which is really row 18, cause they don't 'count' the orcchestra pit seats). Oh well-- as I say, I shouldn't complain...

Have missed you guys-- between the outage and some pisspoor moods, I just haven't been able to show my cyber face anywhere.

Poppet-- very happy belated birthday!!

I think they haven't released the Los Angeles and San Francisco tickets yet, just to make me nuts.

It appears their marketing campaign is achieving it's goal.
