David Fincher wanted EC-tracks
Reading the press notes for (the excellent) The Social Network, Fincher says that he wanted a few EC-songs in the film. The opening credit sequence was actually made with an angry EC-song in mind but they decided to leave it out for grounds of being too perfect and obvious a choice.
A shame though the score for the movie is perfect as it is. Im just curious about the songs Fincher had in mind.

Haven't seen he film yet, but I imagine this would've been great exposure of Elvis to a new generation! Alas and alack that it didn't happen.

"This year's girl" would seem to fit with the origins of FB.
"See her picture in a thousand places
'cause she's this year's girl.
You think you all own little pieces
of this year's girl."
As to whether introducing EC to a new generation is a good thing, I am not so sure. It's nice to be able to buy good seats to concerts in sensibly sized venues, rather than having to make do with watching on a video screen from row K in Block 25 of the O2.

Re: David Fincher wanted EC-tracks
let them all talk?
Chorus:
Let them talk, let them talk, let them all talk
Let them all talk, let them talk, let them all talk
Let them all talk, let them talk, let them all talk
Let them all talk, let them talk, let them all talk
Oh yeah we're killing time
Just to keep you clocking on
These are the best years of your life
Now they're here and gone
Chorus:
Let them talk, let them talk, let them all talk
Let them all talk, let them talk, let them all talk
Let them all talk, let them talk, let them all talk
Let them all talk, let them talk, let them all talk

I can picture "Lipstick Vogue" setting the mood nicely at the top of that film...

'Im not Angry' could have been rather perfect.

C'mon guys, you know it was his cover of "She":
"She may be the face I can't forget..."
Or possibly "Your Suffering Face"...
