Andy Hummel- RIP 7/19/2010
Saddened to hear of his passing yesterday. One of the original founding members of Big Star, as the bassist, he appears to have succumbed to cancer at age 59. Interesting to note that he had been out of music for decades having gone on to a career as an aerospace engineer with Lockheed. This band has now lost three important components in the past year- Alex Chilton, Jim Dickinson and now Andy.
