From the Australian equivalent of Monty Python, surely? That's a senator? No, impossible. Bamboo?

Re: More TUBE goodies
That's actor and comedian John Clarke, he and the other guy usually go on at the end on one of our best political commentary/current affairs shows here, The 7.30 Report, satirizing polititians etc. Our new prime minister seems to be a difficult target for that so far compared to our last prime minister and especially the last treasurer (another Costello) who was a complete knobhead, who were dead easy for them to take the piss out of.
Here's that knobhead Peter Costello -

Go to YouTube, find the clip you want and copy the clip ID # (the bit at the end of the URL after the "=" symbol). Then paste it here and stick the YouTube 1 tags around it.bambooneedle wrote:Yeah, how do use youtube1 (is it for the little youtube picture?), i tried it and I get an x. And I don't see my own youtube picture although I can see the shape of the box when I run my cursor over it.

Al Cohn and Zoot Sims. Love what they do with What the World Needs Now.

One of my favourite Rolling Stones songs and one of my favourite voices in rock music in the last 15 years.

Nice that. I too dig JDB. Fave Manics songs would be Design For Life, of course, Motorcycle Emptiness and La Tristesse Durera. I got a Manics Best of ('Forever Delayed' for next to nothing in Fopp, great purchase). Class guitar player too. I couldn't listen to too much of their LPs as a whole, but they've done some great stuff.

Nice idea for an article in Observer - c50 bet arts videos of any sort on YouTube. James Brown with Pavarotti (fabulous!), Kerouac reading from his masterwork, Joy Division's TV debut (which doesn't really deserve to be there over the later and entirely incredible Something Else one), Beckett's 'Film' with Buster Keaton (which I've read about but never seen). God knows how I'd find time to watch all of these, but it's a nice one to come back to, very eclectic.

Warning: Some of you, if not most of you, won't like this:
When I was in NYC a few months ago I saw the musical Spring Awakening. It's a coming of age story about sex, school, etc. It won the Tony. One of the songs is 'Totally F*cked'
