Disgruntled fans sometimes will jokingly say that a player is worth a bag of baseballs, but wow! Nice story there, Spooky!

Biff Pocoroba....Dick Pole....Lemongello....nice finds there, WSS!

Nice job Cosmos. Do you have an "in" with the owners up in Toronto?

Wow - now if Cito would only throw, say, 10 percent of that contract my way.........

Truly a blind squirrel moment.

Unfortunately it sounds like it's only temporary, but I'm excited to see Cito wearing a Toronto uniform again.

My dad took me to the Rogers Centre yesterday to see my Toronto Blue Jays vs. the visiting New York Yankees. It was fun booing at A-Rod and thinking about this whole Madonna scandal he's got himself wrapped up in. Jays won 4-1, and A.J. Burnett pitched a hell of game (about time). It was only in the top of the 9th, giving up that one run, that B.J. Ryan was brought in to close the game.

We're still in last place, but it was nice to see a bit of the old magic back with Cito Gaston in the dugout and a 3-run homer from Marco Scutaro.

boy if the NL doesn't win it this year they never will. it is a mismatch, except for the bullpens. embarrassing the cubs mania leads to fukedome being on there though. how in god's name is varitek on the AL side? he can't hit a lick and never throws anyone out. he should be retired. how long is he gonna ride the "clubhouse leadership" crap.

I'm the one taking the picture for my soon-to-be-launched "Baseball Bears" website.

Dodgers get Manny - didn't see that one coming!

It sounds like Cito Gaston is back as the Blue Jays' full-time manager. Originally he was only supposed to fill in for the rest of the season, but when the Blue Jays suddenly got good again (we recently had a 10-game winning streak that almost put us into the wild card race) I think they decided that keeping him around would probably be a good idea. I'm thrilled.

Baltimore fans can break out their "Cito Sucks" t-shirts again!

Haven't wanted to jinx myself, but the Dodgers are on a roll. Magic number at 8 now to clinch the division.

Now watch them tank.

Ugh. A.J. Burnett is no longer a Toronto Blue Jay. $82.5 million over five years for the New York Yankees. Maybe Major League Baseball ought to be the one bailing out the automakers :P
