He wouldn't let me cook him a nice breakfast, but at least I'll treat him to a nice dinner tonight.

why I knew him when he was just a kid
you know a teenager and all that
now he's all growed up likes girls and stuff
but still not rascal flatts
he's underpaid here on the board
fights high crimes and malcontents
he sets a perfect tone though knowing just how far
to let those malcontents vents

Momofuku was a great birthday present from Elvis to me, but all in all I had a great day, thanks in no small part to my lovely wife, RedShoes. Aside from taking me out to an Indian buffet for lunch and a Greek restaurant for dinner, she also got me No Country For Old Men on DVD and a book I've been eyeing for a while about the Americanization of chinese food called The Fortune Cookie Chronicles. I'm also getting a third gift, apparently, though she refuses to give it to me until a package from my brother-in-law arrives. I'm a bit afraid
