What are you listening to right now?

This is for all non-EC or peripheral-EC topics. We all know how much we love talking about 'The Man' but sometimes we have other interests.

Liking this album a lot, a kind of cross between eels and 10cc. Love the voice of the lead singer.

The latest album by one of my favorites. They've changed a lot, from folk-punk, to some kind of modern rock which I'm still trying to figure out. So far its kind of good but not as good as it used to be.

Which album is it? It's just a red x in a white box on my screen.

I'm currently listening to Back To Black - Amy Winehouse

"Atlantis" is eerie. But a lot of that could be because it always reminds me of that scene in Goodfellas.
This morning you've got time for a hot, home-cooked breakfast! Delicious and piping hot in only 3 microwave minutes.

moody, have your heard Jack's cover of "Imagine." I've generally had enough of people trying to do justice to that song, but his version is not bad at all.

it's a heckuva lot better than Avril's! He does a couple of good Sublime covers too, and even a Jimmy Buffett one for Margaritaville connoisseurs. :D

My wife wrestling with Beethoven's "Pathetique" sonata. Stops, starts and all it still sounds great to me.

Now this...

Just found out their guitarist Robert Buras passed away last week in Oslo. Terrible news. He was a big part of what made this band so special.

Wedding Present George Best, my most recent eBay purchase, late 80s early 90s were off my radar so a lot of catching up to do.

As Mr.Average promised, it's a great listen. Not sure yet if I like it better than Katy Lied, but it's equally good for sure.

I recently got that album as well as Pretzel Logic, The Royal Scam and Aja all together for just a tad more than the price of a new release. Great bargain I hope, I suspect I will enjoy these as well.

A 1986 Mekons concert featuring "Sweet Dreams," "Good Year for the Roses." the sound is a little murky but "Where Were You?" still packs a good punch.

Great stuff. I like the idea of a site where you can listen to bootlegs without downloading. I have way too many on CD I've only played once! This site seems to have lots of people I've never heard of, as well as the grateful Dead, and lots of other Mekons shows. Nothing by EC, Bowie, Lloyd C or Ron S, sadly.

I was listening to this again this morning. Definitely my favourite album of the year so far. He's playing my favourite Toronto venue (Massey Hall) in September, but unfortunately I can't go. It's on Yom Kippur and my family would disown me if I went.

I know, EC was the first thing I looked for but they do have tons of Ryan Adams and Billy Bragg. Elliot Smith is also widely represented.

I found it while at work and usually browse during those brief escapists moments while "working"
