Has he vowed never to set foot in Ireland again or something? For fuck's sake!

Look forward to seeing you for a beer on the Saturday then

Allen is playing Manchester Bridgewater Hall on June 14 - AT & the Preservation Hall jazz band. Will there be a special guest? The brochure describes Allen as "a truly pivotal figure" and goes on to say he produced Lady Marmalade by Patti Labelle. Surely he's done more famous things than that!

Elvis' Kenwood Park, London show in '05 coincided with Live 8 . He later commented

When we found ourselves booked to play on the same day as Live 8, I imagined that we might even need to cancel the show and was surprised to find such a substantial crowd at our concert.

He's probably wondering if his luck will hold out this year as the July 7 show at The Tower is the same day as the Live Earth show. A test booking could still get me a seat in Block B so I'm wondering also !

Yeah I noticed that too. Shouldn't be too much trouble for us to dash to the front of the stage then as there won't be anyone else there! No doubt there'll be some genuine Tower of London guards to stop us though:

Interestingly , the London shows in July are not listed in the appearances section. A test booking just now for the Tower show got me an offer of a FRONT ROW seat. Combined with the lack of availability of tickets for the Indigo show and the clash with the Live Earth show is this a indication of a cancellation due to 'technical' reasons?

Of course, Whelans , Dublin could still be persuaded to book them for those nights.............

I have not received mine either. I have also booked to see Bryan Ferry and they similarly have not arrived. I expect they will show up soon. Bit concerned about any postal strike though.

I haven't received my tickets yet either.

Mrs VG booked George Michael tickets for last Saturday through seetickets and we did not get them until two days before so I'm not unduly concerned yet.

But once again, a plea from the heart -Don't Sing It !
Apparently the Indigo is now being knocked down to provide a refuge for Polish workers building the new Olympic Stadium so Elvis definitely won't be singing Lovers Walk for the marathon, Beaten to The Punch for the English boxing team and of couse Tonight The Baton Let Me Down for the relay squad.

I like it how the subject of the email is: 'Your tickets have been dispatched!'

Yet the content of the email says 'Your tickets have now been printed and will be dispatched to you shortly'.

At least this is the strongest indication yet that the concert is going ahead.

True. Welcome kilburn_bhoy by the way.

We'll be arranging to meet up for a drink beforehand if you - and anyone else going to the show - are interested.

John's getting the first round in

Gladly - cans of Kestrel on the steps around the Eros statue at Picadilly sounds appropriate!

Some U.S. fans on listserv are flying in specially for it so it shuld be a interesting crowd.

My tickets arrived today - let's get the show on the road!!

My last Elvis live show was New Orleans 18th July 2006 - my best show ever! Went over just to see the close of the River In Reverse Tour in the place it was all about.

If London can match it I will be very happy!!!!

I also got my tickets from Ticketmaster on Friday. The only problem is is that Elvis is playing with Alain Toussaint.

No imposter jokes please
