Are you downloading from my X-Drive?

I'd like to know how many people actually find this section useful. I still have hundreds of tracks that I think you would all enjoy, but before I commit to the monthly fee for X-Drive I want to know if this is a good way to distribute the word of EC.

Your opinions please...

This poll will run for 7 days.

Thanks, Storm, this is a handy resource for providing obscure EC items. Keep it up.

You've gone above the call of duty sir. Keep it up.

And we'll try to work something out for those who don't have enough bandwith or whatever. Perhaps trading of actual cds or something. We don't want anyone to be left out. Everyone please list any ideas or concerns so this section can be truly useful.

This is a wonderful service you're providing, Storm! Keep it up! Alas, I've only been able to download YGTHYLA/NA 'cos my connection is sooo slooow, and my burner's buggered anyway.

Would anyone be willing to stick AB Disc 3, KoA Outtakes and Duets on a couple of CDs for me if I ask nicely? I have nothing of great importance to trade, but will provide blanks, postage and infinite gratitude.

PM me if you can help.

I haven't been able to begin trying to figure out how I can get some of the files from this generous gesture. But if I could, hoooo boy...

One thing I'd like to hear is the demo of "Thats What Friends Are For" and live versions of unreleased songs like "The Last Time You Were Leaving Me" and "Lifeboat."

I have the first one, but not the last two. I'll see what I can do tonight.

I would really like to say "You're Welcome" but somebody else on this board has donated the Delivery Man clips.

Thank you to the anonymous donor, I only had heard half of these tracks live in the Costello/Nieve format, so I'm very grateful. His voice sounds great, and I'm thrilled that the arrangement of Either Side of The Same Town is so close to the live version. There's no danger of this album becoming another GoodBye Cruel World...

Yeah from what I know, this exists. I've seen some users on this site list it on their bootleg lists. I'd like to hear it but its rarely talked about around here for some reason.

Hi all,

Haven't been able to upload anything recently because I've been in NY, but I'll be back in good old Tokyo next week.

Mr&Mr Foyle. Do you have a list of essential EC bootlegs to help me prioritise ? I'll upload selections in mp3 format, and the full thing in bit-torrent FLAC/SHN so that we don't dilute the quality of the full shows.

BTW - The trial X-drive offer may run out soon and access may be cut off. But worry ye not, the outage will only be a short one.

Greetings from NY

It looks like various contributors to easytree.org are providing good shows at the moment so we could leave that as our source for full shows. Meanwhile, I'm sure we would all appreciate it if you kept on being good enough to provide individual tracks on the x-drive as tasters for these shows.

Good idea, I'll upload a few samplers from all the easytree downloads in this section, and maybe some sample mpegs from DVD's. My favourite DVD extract at the moment would be EC, the Confederates and Nick Lowe singing PLU in Tokyo in 1987. It was filmed by Japanese TV, so the quality is perfect. I'll also capture Japanese TV's version Deep Dark Truthful Mirror/You Really Got A Hold On Me from Fuji Rock 2003.
