Happy 40th Birthday Dr Spooky!!

This is for all non-EC or peripheral-EC topics. We all know how much we love talking about 'The Man' but sometimes we have other interests.

Happy 40th Birthday Dr Spooky!!

Post by spooky girlfriend »

That's right folks - the man who single-handedly rescued the board and restarted things over for us is having a birthday. And not just any birthday, that big 4-0. :o

Happy birthday, sweetie.

Thanks everyone. I am really thankful to be a part of this extended Elvis electronic commune. ;)

So far this has been a marvelous day!!

Spooky and my co-workers pulled one over on me. She and our daaughter Jessica scanned LOTS of pictures of me from 6 months old up and sent them to my co-workers. These were turned into flyers and a PowerPoint presentation. They were plastered EVERYWHERE in the large building I work in. I even had a cleaning lady follow the signs to me and sing happy birthday!! I had never seen her before.

Then what I had been lead to believe was a romantic lunch for 2 turned out to be a nerd themed surprise brithday party with about 30 people there. Spooky and Jessica had made RTEMS (http://www.rtems.org) pocket protectors for everyone and given them nerd glasses. Given the attendees the look was amazing!! One guy and his wife came as a Nerd and a Beta Pi sorority girl (think "Eat a Pi for Charity"). My boss did a very humorous standup routine in his circa 1972 plaid coat. I will post some of the jokes over on the Jokes thread once I get them from him.

Spooky will have to post some pics.

And it is just 3:50pm here. The kids are just getting home from school and I am looking forward to Spooky's homemade Red Velvet cake.
