Wow, I was above average for more than half of the categories - but according to this I'm not excessively narcissistic or avoidant. Paranoid on the other hand? You betcha.

I scored above average for the same...antisocial and narcissistic. But I was significantly off the charts for:

Schizotypal Personality Disorder - individual is uncomfortable in close relationships, has thought or perceptual distortions, and peculiarities of behavior. (Score of 82 versus average at 53).

Perfect.

Lowest on "Dependent".

That's today. Tomorrow may be different. These test have poor intra-rater reliability, and vary from day to day, situation to situation.

Does the fact that your Narcissistic score is within +/- 1% of the average score for ths trait suggest false bravado on your part. From your posts I envision you as the Auther Fonzarelli of Denmark, unable to pass a mirror without admiring your cut physique and your manly manliness.

This is less a derrogation and more of an observation. I know many who present a strong image of high self esteem and self actualiztion who, in point of fact, are actually pussycats at heart.

For balance, I point out that my score as being high on the schizotypal scale was odd, as I don't perceive myself, nor do others, as being uncomfortable with close personal relationships. And the whole antisocial thing is in drect conflict with my role as VP of Sales and Marketing, where I communicate with all sorts of people under all sorts of circumstances and in all sorts of venues...and I love the interaction with these diverse demographic groups because I learn more baout them, their culture, attitudes, etc. It's a part of my job that makes me better as a person. I suppose that's why these internet surveys are more entertaining then scientific. I was entertained, but I don't have any plans to significantly modify behaviour.

Well, Mr. Average, I had a high schizotypal, which has a similar description. And, I, too, am in marketing and (sort of) sales. Maybe it just means we're in marketing and sales...in Orange County...

narcissisitic people have "a lack of empathy". i do not lack empathy. i am self-confident however.

Well.....I'm more like the Andrew Dice Clay of Denmark.....the black humor I embrace does not reflect who I am in real life...of course not! I am a pussy cat who looks like a guy with a battery on his shoulder who people want to knock off.
