Being There is Here!!!

This is for all non-EC or peripheral-EC topics. We all know how much we love talking about 'The Man' but sometimes we have other interests.

Lemme send a shout out to BlueChair and RedShoes for their "Being There" online magazine. I browsed through it, and plan on going back for a closer look. It looks awesome, y'all! Let's support our boy-- visit http://www.beingtheremag.com.

Thanks for the kind words - we were up until 4am working on it

Be sure to give props to pip_52, too - as she contributed TONS! :)

And btw, there are still a few glitches here and there, so bear with us....it should be all "perfect" by later today.

Looks great! Congratulations to red, pip, and blue. Much to be proud of (especially that They Might Be Giants review. That guy's a genius).

Sincerely, I hope you have the best of luck with this very worthwhile contribution to music and film journalism. And thanks for letting me come to the party.

Great job, gang! I thoroughly enjoyed it. Very professional layout, and Blue's review of Loretta Lynn is right on target.

The best of luck to you all with this worthy venture.

Thank you norman! Hearing your approval is very inspiring, as I have always enjoyed reading whatever you've had to share regarding music.
This morning you've got time for a hot, home-cooked breakfast! Delicious and piping hot in only 3 microwave minutes.

Blue, the feeling is mutual, my friend. You have an appreciation and knowledge of music far beyond your years. Add to that your talent for articulating these thoughts and you've got a promising career as a music journalist. Keep up the good work.

Excellent magazine all!

So Blue, has anyone taken you up on the offer of being able to attend work naked?

Hey, yeah good work guys...really enjoyed reading your editorials and the 8x5 bits...and I agreed with the reviews of the albums I've heard there (FF,
Wilco, Escondida)....and Blue's, 'remember Grimace?' remark...

Still think Revolver's the better album though... :D

Cool!

It's really great to see that people seem impressed with our launch issue! Thanks, everyone.

...So would anyone be interested in buying Being There merchandise once we get that organized? 8)

It sure looks like a lot of hard work. It seems like a good idea, as well.

Is there a geezer section?

Can I get a coffee mug?

How about a T-shirt of Blue walking through the air in a trench-coat and bowler hat, carrying an umbrella?

When do you guys get to find out your hit-rate for the site? Incidentally, I tried typing 'being there magazine' into google and it didn't come up...do you have to register with them or something?

if you search for "Being There Magazine" we're number three... maybe that's only on Google's Canadian site or something.. who knows.

We're working on upping the hits, but yesterday we had about 200 hits.

Thanks again all.. I hope you'll pass it along to others who might be interested. At this point we are operating on entirely word of mouth!
