HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SENOR OTIS

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SENOR OTIS

Post by selfmademug »

... ya sly dog, you.

He's 39 today. Do we know anyone cuter, nicer or more fun? I think not.

* Big public and borderline-inappropriate kiss to Otis from Mug *

Many happy returns of the day, Mr. Westinghouse.

You're all too kind. Thank you so much.

The weather is simply perfect, I was on an overnight punting session to Grantchester, just fabulous, nearly full moon, so have an aching shoulder, and am a bit trashed from going to bed wasted at 4 am, but as there's a big public event on in Cambridge al this weekend, I'll just have to head down and celebrate some more.

Mug: I'm blushing.

Noise: you're making me laugh!

Plaything: do tell me which song and what you thought.

Happy Birthday dear Otis. Greetings to you from Atlanta, Georgia where I'm spending a few days with the family. I'm glad I took the time to log on so I could send you this message. I hope that your day is wonderful and that you have many happy returns.

Yesterday was my anniversary so it is a festive weekend for us both!

Gosh folks, you're all so sweet. Yes I am, Doofy. Cyber-love is one of the purest forms.

Rope: is Josie really today today? How old is she? My missus is August 25, you know, same as someone else we know. Great photo, that's exactly how old I feel.

Dr J: indeed so, and as it was 1985, that was my 21st birthday. Kind of nice of them to throw that for me. (Sorry if that's poor taste.)

You can't beat a birthday weekend. Been lying in the sun on Parker's Piece, drinking cava and Navarra rosado, with a nice live reagge band in the distance, and the alcohol/sun/mellow vibe combination has had the necessary effect. I'm getting too old for birthdays, but I can get into this.

Your turn next, Spooky, you youngster.

Jack Benny was forever 39...

Yes, OW, Josie was born on this day in 1973. She's 30, and I'm a lucky guy.

That's her kids, by the way.

"Cyber love is one of the purest forms". Good quote, I'll have to use it sometime.

Greetings from London, England. Why is it always so damn hot and sticky down here in the summer?!

Otis I played a WHOLE album of Bowie songs on the train! Granted, it was a minidisc of the Uncut "Starman" CD, but it's the thought that counts, eh?

¡Salud! Ojala que yo lo pudiera tomar contigo.

Rope: me, Josie and Harrison Ford. I guess there are others, but for now that's a good enough list for me.

PorP: that's cheating! You said you were going to listen to The Dame, and you just couldn't bring yourself to. (Kidding: it's the thought. Happy travels.)
