Music Quiz Trivia

This is for all non-EC or peripheral-EC topics. We all know how much we love talking about 'The Man' but sometimes we have other interests.

You're right, Otis.
This Is The Sea wasn't recorded in Ireland, but as this is my first question on Music Trivia I thought I could forgive John this "minor" mistake.

Nope . As usual I've been too obscure. A hint - it was before Thunderball - which Martin Fry did on Arnold's album , waaay inferior to Tom Jones original version.

Ed Harcourt. That must be right, even though I in my infinite ignorance thought he was American.

Oops, sorry. Forgot I'd answered.

OK, not a great one for non-Brit/Irish punters: which future TV soap actor was once in a band with Johnny Marr, aged 13 at the time, and Andy Rourke?

Can you give the name he is known by as an actor, as well as the character he plays?

Extra point for giving his name when in the band.

Huge extra point for naming the band.

I know that Den from the East Enders (Leslie Grantham) had some sort of history in music, but I have no idea who it was with or what name he may have gone under.

Not East Enders. It's easy to guess the soap. Just think of The Smiths! this is probably to obscure, although POP is a good bet to get it if she's around.

Kevin Kennedy aka Curly Watts off Corrie.

Can't name the band, I don't have my copy of The Severed Alliance to hand...
