Elvis & Emmylou -- Today show (22 July) -- watching?

Post by Dr. Luther »

Hey-

Could someone on the East Coast who will be watching give me a heads up on the timing of the appearance so I can get a good recording of it without all the other crap. (Start time -- approx. length, etc...)

(It will be a balancing act, as I'll be getting my daughter ready for summer camp...)

Thanks.

I'll tell ya what -- she looks pretty damn good.

Guess I'm getting old.

Emmylou is so beautiful. How old is she?

Yes, I will be watching the show. I have no idea what the show is like, I've never seen it before. But I am TiVo-ing it which means it can be put onto a disc. But, I have to say, that's usually not worth it. If you can see it, it's cool but those 3 minutes on those dumb little shows aren't worth buring to a disc.
I'll be in and out in the morning, that's why I'm taping it, just in case I miss it.
I'm not angry anymore....

I just looked it up -- says that she was born April of '47 making her 58.

I had no idea -- thought she was more like 52 or so.

Yeah, I prefer editing my stuff as I record, so that I have the best possible quality compilation. This method is fraught with danger -- easy to screw up and miss a couple of seconds, but I just can't stomach having a couple of hours worth of pap, with 5 minutes of gold hidden within. I want all of my stuff in one place.

It's an illness.

(This, of course, could be rectified with a second DVD player so that I could mix down, theoretically without signal loss. Don't know that the Mrs. will buy into this, however...)

I know the show comes on at 7 AM EST., but I don't know exactly when they will play. I just put the tape on record at 5:30 and let it run b/c I had to come to work. Somebody fill me in when they see it.

About 10 minutes ago they said it would be about an hour before Elvis & Emmylou's appearance. So probably safe to tune in around 8:15?

Thanks BC. I work at the front desk of a gym, so I'll have to run into the weight room and get on a bike or something to watch it. :)

That version of PLU rocked! Emmylou sounded a little out of her element, but Larry Campbell's guitar lines kicked ass. I'm looking forward to more after the commercials.

I was standing right behind EC and EmmyLou when they began (when Elvis was pointing to the little girl's Ramones T-shirt).

EC spent alot of time talking to the little kids in the front (there were a few), and signing autographs, talking to people.

I got to speak with him briefly.

I guess we're on a delay or something in the Central Time Zone, because I'm just now watching PL&U. It's nice with Emmylou singing along. :)

yeah, nice version of PLU and Larry Campbell needs to join the Imposters on a full time basis.
