Ein Panzer Kommander was a popular video game of the time and particularly popular in Seville, it was a fad for the devotees of this game to remove all bodily hair. I believe that this must be what EC was referring to.

MegJS, an Ein Panzer Kommander is a commander of a German Panzer tank. German soldiers are known to have strict policies about having their hair in place...
