you did good spooky. the presale is down to single seats only at the ryman already. anyone using the presale site for other concerts, should, unlike me, have sense enough to register beforehand if they have any interest in more than one show. i was on the knoxville tix the second they went up, but then i had to put my visa card, email and all the other crap and in there and purchase those before i could go to another venue and it hung me up, pushing me i'm certain, a few rows back in nashville.
I'm not concerned about the very poor.

Well, I've already pitched my fit, but I didn't realize until well after my transaction was completed that I had purchased row C IN THE DAMN BALCONY.
Yeah, I know - there are no bad seats at the Ryman. But I thought I was getting third row. I guess I'm a bit spoiled. Cosmos swears that they are good seats though. I've even had a nice offer from someone on listserv to stand in line on Saturday when they go on sale, but it's not likely that we could get seats together.
I suppose I will pull up my bootstraps and try to be big about this. But I'll need someone after the show to make up for it. DrS offered me to wear his shirt from the Almost Blue tour, maybe I should - and let him sign it while I'm wearing it.
Anyway, today is Jordan's 13th birthday, so I have festivities to attend to. This makes me three out of four kids in their teens now.

No dizzy blonde jokes please
I'm sure it will be great anyway - the Ryman has got to be one of the best US venues from the way people talk about it. You can probably expect a country set too . I do hope you're going to meet Elvis afterwards.

Thanks, Verbal. But I'm hardly a dumb blonde. I lost my natural blonde in my teens - it's been out of a box since then.
And when you're in a hurry and you see Row C, you just think, Row C. Sigh.
And yes, I was planning on talking to Elvis afterward. I was going to throw your name around - I thought it might get me places.

I'm predicting a major polar shift.
not this time, unfortunately. Spooks, cosmos and OS in nashville.Elvis, Spooky and MDM in the same room.

It'll have to remain a dream then MDM...
...and Spooky - I'll see if I can pass on a message to Elvis to give to you
I'm hoping to ask Elvis after Hammersmith to play All The Rage three days later at Coventry. The intention is to tell him I'll be in the front row at Coventry and if he doesn't play it I'm going to keep shouting for it. That should cheer him up. Or get me barred.

Pre-sale pre-failure
I went through the motions at the pre-sale site. I figured that I could justify the trip to Nashville. I had seats, but no room on my Visa. They don't take American Express.
This looks like a countryfied tour, anyway. Isn't Cain's Ballroom in Tulsa where he recorded Psycho?
He might as well stop in Branson.
I'm still on the lookout for tickets, so who knows...?

hang in there ropey and pay your bill, st louis is still a possibility.
same thing happened to me spooky, row c, but i caught it (you always gotta minimize that seating chart on your screen). me thinks the very first rows down below have been held back for potential celebs. in 02, jerry chestnutt (what a good year for the roses) was sitting there in his big old cowboy and he didn't line up you know. less celebs in knoxville i guess! the ryman considers the balcony to be preferred seating after the first few rows below because the old floor is so flat. i called there once and found a delightful gabby hayseed that told me his perspective on every angle. i thought about keeping the balcony seat, but kept taking shots till it put me on the floor. yours will be great seats though; you'll be looking right down him and have a clear shot at everything steve is doing. maybe he'll play with his theremin for you!!
